March was a wonderfully musical month which started with my favorite Florida festival – the Will McLean Festival and ended with a really fun show at the Mudville Music Room with Larry Mangum and Tom Edwards.
Excellent progress is being made on my next CD out at Gatorbone Studios. The one and only Gabe Valla of the Gatorbone Band (mandolin, guitar and mandocello) and Hannah Alkire of Acoustic Eidolon (cello) are adding their special mojo to the mix and we are looking toward a Fall release. I had hoped to release it sooner, but these things take time and I want to do right by these songs.
I’ve recently been invited to play at the Gamble Rogers Festival in St. Augustine, FL which is a big thrill. Also this coming Saturday, I have the wonderful privilege to open for one of my favorite songwriters, Pierce Pettis at the Civic Media Center in Gainesville. It will also be my first time at the Corner Bar in Bob Patterson’s Songwriter’s Night. At each of these shows you will have the opportunity to hear some amazing musicians in addition to yours truly. Hope you can make it out, it would be great to see you!
